An email from Maggie

My one question to the clean helpful couple elicited a classic Maggie email sent at 4 AM this morning. I changed names and obscured identifying school numbers because I am paranoid, clearly. I did not fix the grammar or syntax.

This email references several episodes immortalized in this highly secret blog, including the Dancing Mirror and the City Council Candidate (Celine, whom I have also named Georgia, is a serial PTA co-president and an organizational genius who will lead Astoria out of Covid hell into equality, prosperity, and other good stuff) who Maggie emails and posts scary things about Calvin and me on her Facebook page.

I type these words at 6:55 PM, and I have not returned her mirror or responded to this email. I could say that Safe Horizons is an organization that helps victims of domestic violence and we are not related to her or live with her. Perhaps Next Door To Safe Horizons would be a better organization for Maggie to work with.

Adult Protection Services helps impaired adults, which she certainly is, but she’s expressed so much contempt for Daisy and her developmental issues that I can’t image that she lumps herself in with any adults with impairment.

As for the PTA claim—I am the treasurer of Daisy’s school PTA and it is a horrible chore, one I am ill-suited for—and I never saw Maggie at any meeting and neither she or her ex-husband donated money this year. I also went to all the meetings before I ran (for Vice President, but then I horse traded for Treasurer so I would win, so yes, it’s my own damn fault) and Maggie was never there.

Do I check the PTA drive to see if she was on the board the year before Daisy got there? No. She’s lying. She lies all day long. I must not take her words seriously.

It’s 7:00 PM and I am not giving up the Dancing Mirror.

How could I give up this object?
