Dear Wyatt,
Sorry I sent you two emails yesterday of the same thing–I was testing whether it registered that I had sent one. Dumb method.
So today is dreadfully hot but a few good things have happened. Well, let’s start with the bad thing. This morning at 5:30 AM daddy and I were woken by noises and bumps next door and then a big bump. We lay there not sleeping until we got up again. I pored (poured?) over the Nest cam and finally saw Alley Man come in the front yesterday morning.
So today we installed the driveway camera. It isn’t great, just showing an overview of her driveway, but it’s the best we could do. Today her Prius was there for a brief moment and then gone. She is totally off social media. I think she may be in the hospital because the last few posts mentioned her being in pain. One had a shot of her butt. Horrible!
The day did improve although your dad is very stressed. He hated saying no to work but he could not do the Right Wing machine. I mean, it’s insane. I met a possible cleaning person who seemed really, really nice. Your room is still a mess by the way.
Then I had another interview for this job (my 3rd interview) and that was fun. And then I ran an errand and met NEIGHBOR X from up the block. She’s the lady who works at ps85 and her mom is the lady always out at the top of the block. So NEIGHBOR X is coming over for a drink tonight. Very exciting. She’s the smart woman with the little white dog on the other side of the street.
What else? Nothing. Your grandmother’s friends are dying and she is not having any of it. She’s even crankier than when we were there. But she’s obsessed with her own death and then not dying ever, and for me to navigate those two poles—it’s very hard. Please feel sorry for me.
We miss you. Daisy is working today. The house is quiet. We do miss Honey Bear a little No one talks to us when we go upstairs if no human is there. I’d like a little cat conversation, you know, but the smell is gone now. I’m not afraid to come out of my office anymore. I don’t hold my breath after the laundry machines.
Take care and have fun and don’t get overheated. We love you. I would like to get a cat but I’m not because I promised.
Love,
mom
